Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Fitter / Mechanical Trade
Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Fabrication Fitter with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in steel machinery or heavy fabrication environment. The candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, aligning, and installing fabricated steel components as per engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and follow fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Perform fitting, aligning, and assembly of fabricated steel structures and machinery parts.

Carry out cutting, grinding, drilling, shaping, and finishing of metal components.

Ensure proper installation of beams, frames, brackets, and heavy steel equipment.

Operate fabrication tools and equipment such as welding machines, grinders, cutting machines, and hydraulic tools.

Check measurements using precision instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and spirit levels.

Identify and rectify fitting errors or dimensional issues.

Coordinate with welding and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies.

Perform routine maintenance of tools and report equipment issues.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes and fitting techniques

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience in heavy machinery fitting and structural steel work

Knowledge of tack welding, gas cutting, and grinding

Good understanding of measurement and alignment techniques

Awareness of industrial safety procedures

Desired Profile

5 years experience in steel fabrication or machinery manufacturing

ITI Fitter / Mechanical trade certified

Physically fit and able to handle heavy components

Team player with good communication skills

Willingness to work in shifts and factory environment
